2012 - Highlights
I wanted to share some of the moments from the recent Bible Reading Marathon we had in Concord, NH on the State Capitol lawn.
Thank you for your prayers for this opportunity to share God's word with all those that passed by, those that sat and listened and those that just walked through.
BUT we stand on ...
Isaiah 55:11 “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
So we give God all the glory for all HIS purposes He had before our State and National Elections in November. We opened with the shofar being blown and worship to our Lord and Savior. There was a flow of people to read from day to day. Some just to give thumbs up, others to stop and inquire, yet others who needed to be ministered to, by encouragement, prayer and some just hope.
On Saturdays it’s “Farmers’ Market" next to the State Capitol and where our tent is, many visitors and families passed by, yet some stayed to listen. One of the vendors right next to our tent made a point of thanking us for reading-“ I just love it”.
Sunday was a glorious day! How majestic is Your name oh Lord! Many people go to church on Sunday but others came after their services, God’s timing is always perfect!! Sunday evening was perfect for the Lord to bring a young man to the saving grace of Jesus Christ!! PRAISE THE LORD!!
On Monday, a woman called to say she had fallen and was sending her daughter in her place. Yet God sent someone else to help out that morning even before the replacement arrived. When the daughter arrived (after working all night and only 2 hours sleep within the previous 2 days) she was relieved to be able to just go home. Each year we have those who come again, day after day just to see if we need anyone to read. God always blesses those who long to read His word and obey.
One woman, who has moved to Florida, heard we were having this again this year and came to visit family by God’s perfect timing, to read several times.
The last day, several Representatives came to read, again another musician came to sing and rejoice as we finished up Revelation. We closed in prayer that God’s will be done as His Word goes forth in NH. Holy Spirit pursue the elections, many people will be acknowledging God’s work in and through Him.
